Flight 13 replay
Watch the flight againPlays back the whole of Flight 13 from 50 minutes before liftoff, using the data recorded live on the day. The clock, charts, map and 3D globe all replay with it, and you can pause, scrub and run it up to 60× speed. Leave the replay at any time to come back here.
Interface
Advanced interfaceTurns the dashboard into a dense technical console: the whole page tightens up, every readout is set in the same fixed-width face, and five extra panels and six extra charts appear. The new numbers are worked out from the vehicle’s position and the time it was reported, and nothing else. Some of them describe the air the ship is flying through, which the vehicle does not report; those are worked out from a standard model of the atmosphere and are marked modelled. Nothing is taken away by turning this on, and none of the ordinary readouts change.
Units
Measurement unitsWhich units the pad weather in the advanced console is shown in. Metric gives degrees Celsius and kilometres per hour, Imperial degrees Fahrenheit and miles per hour. The mission telemetry is always metric.

Simulate a live flightInjects realistic Flight 13 telemetry starting at T-10 seconds and ticking forward in real time, so the clock, charts, map & 3D globe all respond as if live. ThemesColour scheme for the whole site, including the charts, map and 3D globe. The high contrast options use stronger text, brighter chart lines and clearer gridlines, which help in bright sunlight or on a dim screen. The rest are there for the look of the thing: two drawn around the Departure Mono typeface, a green phosphor screen, a blueprint, and a printed flight log. Night vision is red on black, for watching a launch outdoors in the dark without losing your night sight, and it dims the map to match. Whichever you pick, the text and the chart lines are held to the same readability as the originals.
TypefaceWhich typeface the whole site is set in. Departure Mono is a pixel face with a lo-fi technical feel, and it is the one the two Departure themes are drawn around, so picking either of those switches to it for you. Set it yourself here at any time and it stays put whatever theme you choose after.
Corner styleThe shape of every rounded corner on the site, from the cards down to the buttons. G1 is a plain circular curve and is what the site has always used. G0 squares everything off. G2 is a smoother curve that eases into the straight edge instead of turning on to it; some browsers cannot draw that shape yet and will show a slightly softer version of G1 instead.
Map styleHow the 2D map and the 3D globe are drawn. Simple is a clean, flat map that follows your theme. Satellite shows real imagery of the ground and sea below, with the clouds removed. Both previews show the same 10 km of ground around the launch pad at Starbase.
Keep my typeface and corner styleEach theme comes with the typeface and corner style it was drawn around, and picking a theme normally switches to them. Turn this on to keep whichever typeface and corner style you have chosen here, whatever theme you pick afterwards.
FAA reentry corridorDraws two shapes from the FAA’s August 2026 environmental assessment on the ground track and the 3D globe: the notional reentry corridor, which comes ashore at the Oregon/California state line and crosses the United States, and the proposed Pacific contingency landing area. Neither is survey data. The assessment publishes no coordinates at all, so both were recovered from the printed figures and are good to about 50 km; the corridor is drawn on the page as a band 90 km wide, so its centre line cannot be better than that. Part of the advanced console only.
3D ship during a live flightDraws the ship model on the 3D globe while a flight is happening. The vehicle only reports where it is, never which way it is facing, so during a live flight its orientation is worked out from the path it is flying and is an estimate. Once a flight is over and its data has been worked through, the orientation is rebuilt properly, and that version is always shown whatever this is set to. Turn this off to see a simple marker instead while live.
Smooth speed & accelerationThe vehicle reports only where it is, so speed is worked out from how far it moves between readings, and acceleration from how that speed changes. Tiny timing wobbles in the readings turn into large jumps in both, and the ground track it is measured along is shorter than the arc the ship actually flies up at altitude. With this on, both are corrected for height and averaged over half a minute, which clears the jitter and leaves the real changes. Only applies to a finished flight. Turn it off to see the raw numbers exactly as they arrived on the day.
Direct distance to the vehicleShows how far the ship is from you in a straight line, and marks where you are on the ground track and the 3D globe with a dashed line running out to the vehicle. Your position is read from this browser only while the setting is on; it is never saved and never leaves your device. When the ship is on the far side of the planet there is no straight line to draw, so the readout says Ship Blocked and only your own position is marked.
How often to check your locationThis is the rate at which your location is refreshed (the setting is mostly here for mobile users, e.g if you’re out in the field trying to catch Ship passing overhead). Lower refresh times will be more accurate but it makes little to no difference if you’re on foot so higher refresh rates are there to preserve battery a little bit!

Landing celebrationWhen the vehicle is confirmed to be down, a little confetti crosses the page for a few seconds. Cannon fires it up from the two bottom corners. Fireworks bursts it in the left and right thirds instead, so the middle of the page stays readable. Picking one shows you what it looks like. It runs until the paper has fallen off the bottom of the page, which takes about twenty seconds: that is how long real confetti takes to come down, rather than a length anyone chose. If your device is set to reduce motion, nothing is shown either way.

Sync readouts to the mission clockReadings take about 13 seconds to travel from the vehicle to your browser, so they arrive a little after the moment they describe. With this on, each reading is held back and shown at the point on the clock it belongs to, and the readouts, the phase and the 3D view all describe the same moment. Turn it off to see every reading the instant it arrives, which lines up better with a live stream. The mission clock itself always shows the true time either way, and the panel always says which moment the readings are from.
StarDash · Flight 14StarDash is designed to be a data dashboard for Starship flights. It was originally a weekend project playing around with the various data sources SpaceX publishes through their website, and has since grown into a full suite of tools and visualisations.
Although the primary source of data is accurate from-vehicle, some areas of data are either derived or estimated from the info published before flight, or from past launches; I can’t promise that every number will be 100% accurate but with more flights and source data to inform the way this all works, I’ll keep on improving this site as best I can!
